  • UNU-EHS Seeks Research Associate
    Candidates interested in applying for the position of a Research Associate at the United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) should have a Diploma or Master in Geography, Spatial Planning, Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
    Under the authority of the Director of UNU-EHS and the Head of Section on Vulnerability and Risk Assessment and Adaptive Planning, the successful candidate will be entrusted with the tasks within the framework of the externally funded project KIBEX (Verwundbarkeitsassessment von Kritischen Infrastrukturen und Bevölkerung gegenüber klimawandelbedingten Extremwetterereignissen) and will be based at UNU-EHS in Bonn on a full-time basis.

  • The UN-Water Decade Programme on Capacity Development (UNW-DPC) is located in Bonn and is hosted along with several others by the United Nations University Vice Rectorate in Europe (UNU-ViE). In addition, the organisation is part of a larger worldwide network of organisations called UN-Water.
    Since UNW-DPC is an office that is linked to both programmes, it would like to change its existing website www.unwater.unu.edu to match the styles, colours, and fonts shown in the UN-Water and UNU-VIE websites linked above. In addition to its normal website, UNW-DPC is creating a repository of information using MYSQL that should have the same look and feel as the other pages which can be viewed at www.unwater.unu.edu/repository/.

  • UNU-ViE invites applications for an intern position in the SCIENTIA section to work in its Dialogue for Sustainability Project.
    UNU-ViE’s activities consist primarily of the initiation, support, and co-ordination of projects aiming to develop intellectual capacity building and knowledge transfer. The SCIENTIA section supports the development of research and science based policy programmes and promotes knowledge transfer and capacity development with a special focus on science policy dialogues.
    The successful candidate must have a background in the fields of International Relations, International Development, Business Administration, Political Science or a related field and have computer software skills (e.g. MS Office). The candidate must have an excellent command of English (other languages will be considered an asset) and have an ability to work productively and maintain effective working relationships with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
