Africa-focused UNU projects

  1. Geothermal Capacity-Building in Developing Countries

    The Geothermal Training Programme of the United Nations University (UNU-GTP) is a postgraduate training programme, aiming at assisting developing countries in capacity-building within geothermal exploration and development.

  2. Knowledge, Attitudes, Practices and Empowerment (KAPE)

    Understanding knowledge, attitudes and practices around water and sanitation and raising awareness about the linkages between water, environment and health in order to empower communities to be able to address their own water-related challenges.

  3. Regional Centres of Expertise for Education for Sustainable Development

    A Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) is a network of existing formal, non-formal and informal education organizations, mobilized to deliver education for sustainable development (ESD) to local and regional communities.
